Prayers Requested for Sarah

Sarah is a close friend of Whitni's. They played soccer together for years. Sarah and her mom, Jan, and Whitni and I were traveling buddies. We traveled all over Texas whenever Sarah & Whitni's team was playing in a tournament. All these years Sarah has had a heart condition and the doctors told them the day would come when her heart began to fail. I was always amazed at Jan & Lee's strength in allowing Sarah to live life to the fullest. Sarah played soccer (goalie so she wouldn't have to run as much) in high school and college.

Sarah's heart began to fail around Christmas time and she was put on the donor list. She was moved to the top of the list a couple of weeks ago. Sarah is now in San Antonio waiting to go into surgery to receive her new heart. A donor heart became available this morning. Sarah has requested that everyone pray for her, her family and especially the donor's family, who have lost a loved one and have chosen to give the "gift of life."

It's That Time of Year AGAIN!!!

2011 Show season is still months away...but it's time to buy the lambs for next show season. We are up to 4 lambs and are looking for another 1. It will probably turn into another 2, if I know Ron.

We bought a medium wood (black face) this year. Nolan has never shown this type of lamb before. He's really excited about blackie. Be watching for pictures as we feed these babies out and get ready for the next show season!

Getting Caught Up

WOW...can't believe it's been so long since I posted. Lots has been going on. I guess that's the best excuse that I have is that I've been extremely busy. So grab a glass of tea this may be long and I have LOTS of pictures.
These first two are from a trip that Ron & I took Karli on to buy her graduation present. She didn't want a Senior Ring so Ron and I decided to buy her a nice James Avery ring when she graduated. We took her and bought the ring and then took her to lunch. It was a speical Saturday trip with just the 3 of us. Definately a great memory.

Here she and Samantha, her best friend, are after graduation. It was windy and hot.

Ron and I have been wanting to buy a boat for several years and we just happened along this really nice boat at a really good deal. We are having a blast this summer with the kids and their friends. We never knew they had so many friends!!!
Last but not least...we celebrated PawPaw's 92nd Birthday. We cooked and took supper up to the family room at Myrtlewood. He had requested a chocoate cake with chocolate icing...so that is what he got. He had a blast with all of us around. He said it was a great party. When we asked him how old he was he said, "21".
